How Chicold Syrup works Chicold 125mg/12.5mg/1mg Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Paracetamol, Phenylpropanolamine and Chlorpheniramine Maleate which relieve cold symptoms. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Chicold 125mg/12.5mg/1mg Syrup.
Chicold 125mg/12.5mg/1mg Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
