How it works
How Cefofine SB Injection works Cefofine SB 500mg/500mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. Cefoperazone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefoperazone against bacteria.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Cefofine SB 500mg/500mg Injection , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
Cefofine SB 500mg/500mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Cefofine SB 500mg/500mg Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
It is not known whether Cefofine SB 500mg/500mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
There is limited information available on the use of Cefofine SB 500mg/500mg Injection in patients with kidney disease. Doctor consultation is advised.
