This medicine works by decreasing the production of certain chemicals that cause inflammation of the eye/ear. This will make it easier for you to go about your daily activities. Use it as prescribed to get the most benefit. If you see no improvement even after a week, talk to your doctor. In Treatment of Allergic conditions Betameth Eye/Ear Drops is used to treat many different inflammatories and allergic conditions including arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, ulcerative colitis, and conditions that affect the skin, blood, eyes, lungs, stomach, and nervous system. It works by lowering your immune system?s response to these conditions and prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. It helps relieve symptoms such as swelling, pain, itching, and other allergic-type reactions. If you are not sure why you are being given this medicine, ask your doctor. This medicine is given orally (by mouth). You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. Do not stop taking it without your doctor?s advice. This can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Because this medicine weakens your immune system, you should avoid being near people who are ill or have infections.

If a dose of Betameth Eye/Ear Drops is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye/ear, to avoid contamination. Talk to your doctor if your symptoms haven't started to improve within two days of starting treatment, if they get worse during treatment or if you get another eye /ear infection. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the medication. If using Betameth Eye/Ear Drops for an eye:Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.Do not wear contact lenses, while using this medication.It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
