This ensures that you live a long and healthy life. It is usually given in combination with other medicines. Avoid skipping doses and follow your doctor�s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.

Atavir 300mg Capsule is an anti-HIV medication. It works by interfering with an enzyme (protease), which is required by HIV-infected cells to make new viruses. This stops the production of new viruses.

Alcohol

Consult your Doctor: Please consult your doctor regarding the safety of consuming alcohol with Atavir 300mg Capsule . Experts have not found evidence of alcohol impairing the effectiveness of the medicine.

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Driving

Not Safe: Atavir 300mg Capsule may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Atavir 300mg Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Atavir 300mg Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Atavir 300mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Atavir 300mg Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Atavir 300mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.

If a dose of Atavir 300mg Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Atavir 300mg Capsule should be taken with food. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take antacids an hour before or two hours after taking Atavir 300mg Capsule. It may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires concentration until you know how it affects you. Stop taking medications (prescribed for erectile dysfunction) like sildenafil or tadalafil while on treatment with this medicine. Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop abdominal pain, loss of appetite darkened urine or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice). Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
