How Alferd I Tablet works Alferd I 6mg/400mg Tablet is a combination of two antiparasitic medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to muscle and nerve cells of worms causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), so that they lose energy and die. This treats your infection effectively.
Alferd I 6mg/400mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Alferd I 6mg/400mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.
Alferd I 6mg/400mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Alferd I 6mg/400mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Inform your doctor if you develop signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.
If a dose of Alferd I 6mg/400mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
