Most of your calcium should be in your bones. When you have more calcium in your blood than normal it is called hypercalcaemia. Addphos Granules reduces the amount of calcium in your blood. Being immobile makes hypercalcaemia worse. Whenever possible you should take regular exercise, especially weight-bearing exercise. Do not take antacids (to reduce the acid level of your stomach) while taking this medicine as they may reduce the efficacy of this medication. Your doctor may get regular blood tests to monitor the levels of calcium and phosphate in your blood while you are taking this medicine. Avoid other supplements containing calcium while you are taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney or heart disease.
