The dosage of Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim depends on the age of the patient and the severity of the infection. For Adult Urinary Infections, the standard dose is two doses twice a day.

For children, the dose is calculated by the doctor based on their body weight. The tablets should be taken with a full 200ml glass of water. Because this is a "time-dependent" antibiotic, it is important to take your doses at the same time each day (e.g., 8 am and 8 pm). Never stop the course early, even if your symptoms vanish after two days, as this allows the strongest bacteria to survive and become "superbugs."
