How Ripasudil works Ripasudil belongs to a class of medicines known as Rho kinase inhibitors. It lowers eye pressure by enhancing drainage, allowing fluid to flow out more easily. This mechanism helps reduce pressure buildup, which is beneficial in treating glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Ripasudil is used to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension by lowering intraocular pressure (IOP) and reducing the risk of vision loss.
You may notice a reduction in eye pressure within a few hours, but full effects may take several days to become apparent.
Remove contact lenses before using Ripasudil and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them, as some ingredients may damage lenses or cause discomfort.
Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface, do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy, and avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision clears.
For mild side effects like stinging or blurred vision, wait for them to subside. For severe side effects such as eye pain or vision changes, stop using the drops and seek medical attention immediately.
Always inform your doctor about all eye medications you are using and wait at least 5-10 minutes between applying different eye drops to avoid interactions.
