How it Works

How Ripasudil and Timolol Work Ripasudil and Timolol is a combination of ripasudil and timolol. Ripasudil has high intraocular permeability and works by reducing intraocular pressure and enhancing fluid outflow, resulting in a decrease in elevated fluid pressure in the eyes. Timolol is a beta blocker that decreases the production of aqueous humor (the fluid in the eye), thereby lowering increased eye pressure.

  • Wash your hands before using the eye drops and take care to avoid getting the product into your mouth.
  • Apply this medicine without touching the eye directly with the eyedropper tip.
  • If you normally wear contact lenses, please use your spectacles instead until your doctor advises that it is suitable for you to wear the lenses again.
  • If you are using any other eye drops or eye ointments, wait 5-10 minutes between applying each one.

Frequently asked questions

Initially, the eye drops may cause watery eyes and temporary blurred vision. This should resolve quickly. Ensure your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.
Always wash your hands before and after using Ripasudil+Timolol to prevent infection transfer. Remove the cap just before use and replace it immediately after. Avoid touching the nozzle. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid with a clean finger, and allow one drop to fall between your eyelid and eye. Close your eye and gently press the inside corner for about a minute to prevent drainage. Repeat for the other eye if instructed by your doctor.
Always consult your doctor before using any other eye drops with Ripasudil+Timolol. It is recommended to wait at least 10-15 minutes between administering different eye medications.
Avoid using Ripasudil+Timolol if you are allergic to it or any of its components. If unsure about allergies or using it for the first time, consult your doctor.
Do not wear contact lenses while using Ripasudil+Timolol. You may reinsert them 15 minutes after administering the drops. Contact your doctor if you experience persistent eye irritation.
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience eyelid swelling, eye pain, dry eyes, a foreign body sensation, headaches, or eye discharge. Also, inform them of any scheduled eye surgeries.
You should use one drop in each eye twice a day, or as directed by your doctor.
Headaches are a rare side effect of Ripasudil+Timolol. You may consult your doctor for a suitable painkiller. If headaches persist, seek medical advice.
