Oxetacaine, Magaldrate, and Dicyclomine are used in the treatment of acidity, heartburn, and abdominal pain.

How it Works

How Oxetacaine, Magaldrate, and Dicyclomine Work Oxetacaine, Magaldrate, and Dicyclomine is a combination of three medications. Oxetacaine works by blocking pain signals from the peripheral nerves to the brain, which decreases the sensation of pain. Magaldrate is an inorganic salt that neutralizes excess acid in the stomach. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic medication that relaxes the muscles in the stomach and intestines. It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Oxetacaine, Magaldrate, and Dicyclomine include a chalky taste, constipation, fecal impaction (hardened stool that remains lodged in the rectum or lower colon), and stomach cramps.
