How Famotidine and Dicyclomine Work Famotidine and Dicyclomine is a combination of two medications. Famotidine is an H2 blocker (antacid) that reduces the amount of acid in the stomach, providing relief from acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic medication that relaxes the muscles in the stomach and intestines. It prevents sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby alleviating cramps, pain, bloating, and other symptoms associated with acidity.

Common side effects of Famotidine and Dicyclomine include dryness in the mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, sleepiness, weakness, nervousness, headache, constipation, and diarrhea.
