Uses

Cetirizine and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide are used in the treatment of dry cough.

How it Works

How Cetirizine and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide Work Cetirizine and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a combination of two medications: Cetirizine and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide. Cetirizine is an antihistamine that reduces cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of the chemical messenger histamine. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that alleviates cough by decreasing the activity of the cough center in the brain.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Cetirizine and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide include upset stomach, dryness in the mouth, fatigue, dizziness, and sleepiness.
