How it works
Zita-Met Plus 1000mg/20mg Tablet ER is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Metformin and Teneligliptin. Metformin is an antidiabetic medication (biguanide). It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Teneligliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor which works by increasing the release of insulin from pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces both fasting and postmeal sugar levels. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Zita-Met Plus 1000mg/20mg Tablet ER as it is deemed unsafe.

Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Zita-Met Plus 1000mg/20mg Tablet ER is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
