How to use
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telefix-AM Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How it works
Telefix-AM Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Telmisartan and Amlodipine. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Together, they lower blood pressure effectively.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Telefix-AM Tablet 15 Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Telefix-AM Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Telefix-AM Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Not Safe: Telefix-AM Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. It may cause dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Telefix-AM Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Telefix-AM Tablet is recommended.
Caution Advised: Telefix-AM Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Telefix-AM Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Telefix-AM Tablet 15 Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
