How it works
Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and ezetimibe. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while raising "good" cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor which prevents absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Lipi EZ 40 Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Not Safe: Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Not Safe: Lipi EZ 40 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is recommended.
Caution Advised: Lipi EZ 40 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lipi EZ 40 Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
