In Treatment of Parasitic infections Aldezol DF Syrup is given to treat a wide range of parasitic infections such as diarrhea, amoebic dysentery, amoebic liver abscess, and giardiasis. It works by stopping the growth of parasites and also helps in clearing parasite cysts (carrier state). It is most likely that your child?s infection will start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. Make sure to complete the full course of treatment even if your child feels better. Stopping the medicine abruptly by yourself may worsen your child?s condition or cause infection recurrence.

Aldezol DF Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Metronidazole and Diloxanide. Metronidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Diloxanide is an amoebicide. It works inside the large intestine to kill the infection-causing amoeba (parasites). Together, they treat your infection effectively.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Aldezol DF Syrup is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Aldezol DF Syrup is recommended. However, dose modification may be required in severe kidney disease. Consult and thoroughly discuss any query with your child€™s doctor before giving this medicine to your child.
Caution Advised: Aldezol DF Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Aldezol DF Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, you can administer the missed dose once you recall it. However, if it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Stick to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid giving a double dose to make up for the missed one.
