Metronidazole and Diloxanide are used in the treatment of diarrhea and dysentery.

How Metronidazole and Diloxanide work Metronidazole and Diloxanide is a combination of two medicines: Metronidazole and Diloxanide. Metronidazole is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and other microorganisms causing infections by damaging their DNA. Diloxanide is an amoebicide that works inside the large intestine to eliminate the infection-causing amoeba (parasites). Together, they effectively treat your infection.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Metronidazole and Diloxanide include nausea, headache, dryness in the mouth, metallic taste, and flatulence.

Metronidazole + Diloxanide should be taken with food.
Take the medication at the same time every day.
Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
