How Pansoral Dental Gel works Pansoral Gel is a combination of two medicines: Choline Salicylate and Cetalkonium Chloride.Choline Salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Cetalkonium Chloride is an antiseptic that kills bacteria and fungi, preventing the mouth ulcer from getting infected. This speeds up healing of the ulcer.

If you forget a dose of Pansoral Gel , simply continue with your regular schedule and do not take a double dose.

Pansoral Gel is used to treat painful mouth ulcers. Using a clean finger to massage the gel onto the sore area, not more than once every 3 hours. Avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying Pansoral Gel. Avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth. Use a soft toothbrush after consulting your dentist. Avoid spicy foods, acidic fruit drinks, and very salty foods (such as crisps) which can make the pain and sting worse. Do not smoke while using Pansoral Gel as it might cause some side effects. Consult your doctor if your pain does not improve after using this medication for 7-14 days, or if your symptoms get worse.
