Treatment of Cough

In Treatment of Cough Cough is a sudden, forceful expulsion of air that helps clear any mucus or irritant in the throat or airways. If it happens more frequently, due to an underlying disease or an allergy, it can be bothersome. Zyr Cold Tablet helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It will also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation and help you carry out your daily activities more easily. This medicine is safe and effective. It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by your doctor. Taking this medicine enables you to live your life more freely without worrying so much about things that set off your symptoms.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Zyr Cold Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Zyr Cold Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Not Safe: Zyr Cold Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving

Seek medical advice from your doctor: It is not known whether Zyr Cold Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

Liver

If a dose of Zyr Cold Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

This combination medicine helps relieve runny nose, sneezing and productive cough. Drink extra fluids to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Zyr Cold Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine as it may cause increased sleepiness. Stop taking Zyr Cold Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results. Inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 14 days.
