Tetracycline is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Hydrocortisone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

Quick Tips for T Cycline HC Eye Ointment 5gm

Your doctor has prescribed T-Cycline HC Eye Ointment to treat bacterial infections of the eye. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Burning sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
