In Prevention of kidney transplant rejection Simulect Injection is used with other medications to prevent kidney transplant rejection. Rejection usually happens due to attack by the immune system of the person receiving the transplanted organ on the transplant itself, in people who are receiving kidney transplants. This medicine reduces the activity of a person's own immune system and prevents any such rejection.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Simulect Injection suppresses the activity of body's immune system and prevents rejection of the kidney transplantation.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Driving

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Simulect Injection is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Simulect Injection may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Simulect Injection is given as an injection into the veins by a healthcare provider only. The first dose is given 2 hours before transplantation and a second dose after 4 days of surgery. Avoid taking any vaccination while on treatment with this medicine without doctor consultation. Simulect Injection may increase your susceptibility to infections. Inform your doctor if you get any signs of infection during treatment.
