Saflutan Eye Drop is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of pressure in the eyes (ocular hypertension) and glaucoma. Saflutan Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. It is advisable to remove contact lenses before using the medicine. The most common side effects of this medicine include burning sensation, stinging sensation, itching, eyelash changes and eye pain. If these side effects persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor. In case by accident, this medicine goes into your ears, nose or mouth, immediately rinse it with water. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after use of this medicine as it may cause blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive. It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way it works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have used a similar medicine before and had an allergic reaction. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What If You Forget to take Saflutan Eye Drop 2.5ml?

If you forget a dose of Saflutan Eye Drop , simply continue with your regular schedule and do not take a double dose.

Quick Tips for Saflutan Eye Drop 2.5ml

Saflutan Eye Drop helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss. For best results, put one drop once a day in the evening/night in the affected eye(s). Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop. Saflutan Eye Drop may cause brown pigmentation of the iris. This discoloration may be permanent. Your eyelashes may become more dense and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing Saflutan Eye Drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
