How it works
Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Azithromycin. Cefpodoxime Proxetil works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.
Not Safe: Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Caution Advised: Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Pdox AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
