Omelam Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat anxiety and insomnia. It relaxes the nerves in the brain and ensures sound sleep. It also prevents excess acid formation in the stomach, indigestion, and heartburn that may be associated with anxiety or lack of sleep. Omelam Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, it is advisable to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor as it has habit-forming potential. If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of the treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly as it may cause nausea and anxiety. Some common side effects of this medicine include confusion, drowsiness, tiredness, uncoordinated body movements, depression, memory impairment, headache, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and flatulence. It may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. How it works

Omelam Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Alprazolam and Omeprazole. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine. Omeprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve indigestion and heartburn.

Omelam Tablet is used for the treatment of anxiety and insomnia. It can take a week or two after starting this treatment before the effect begins to build up, and 4-6 weeks before you feel the full benefit. Do not stop taking it after a week or two, feeling it is not helping. Do not stop taking Omelam Tablet unless your doctor tells you to do so. Stopping treatment suddenly can cause problems and your doctor will probably want you to reduce your dose gradually when this becomes necessary.
