In Tuberculosis (TB) Mycopas Tablet is used to treat tuberculosis, an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs but can affect other parts of the body as well. It kills as well as stops the growth of infection causing bacteria and helps in treating the infection. Take it in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor as doing so may cause the infection to return or worsen. Follow your doctor?s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mycopas Tablet is to be taken empty stomach. Avoid Mycopas Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
Mycopas Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Sodium aminosalicylate and isoniazid which treat tuberculosis. Sodium aminosalicylate stops bacteria causing TB from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for their multiplication. Isoniazid prevents the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering. This kills the bacteria and eradicates the infection.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Mycopas Tablet , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Mycopas Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Not Safe: Mycopas Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Mycopas Tablet can cause fits, mental health problems and optic neuritis (inflammation of the optic nerve that may cause loss of vision.) This may affect your driving ability.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: There is limited information available on the use of Mycopas Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Doctor consultation is advised.
Caution Advised: Mycopas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mycopas Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Mycopas Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
If a dose of Mycopas Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
