However, this medicine should not be used to prevent malaria and should be taken only when prescribed by a doctor. Follow your doctor�s instructions carefully to get the most benefit. This medicine makes you feel better within a few days of treatment. But, if you have a fever, chills, muscle pain, or headache soon after you finish your treatment, this could be a sign that you still are infected with malaria. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice any such symptoms.Refrain from taking any other medicines or antacids along with this medicine (unless advised by the doctor) as they may affect the absorption of this medicine. Do not use this medicine for treating any other condition without consulting your doctor.

How Larzi Tablet works Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pyrimethamine and Sulfamethoxazole which treat malaria. Pyrimethamine is an antiparasitic medicine which works by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulfamethoxazole is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.

Alcohol

Caution: It is important to consult your doctor regarding alcohol consumption while taking Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet .

Pregnancy

Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.There may be a possibility of skin rash in the baby

Driving

It is not known whether Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Larzi 25mg/500mg Tablet must be taken with food at the same time every day. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids and a healthy diet while taking the medicine.
