Cough

In Cough Kuffdac Syrup gives relief from cough by loosening thick mucus and making it easier to cough it out. It also makes it easier for air to move in and out of your airways. This reduces the frequency of coughing and makes you feel better. Kuffdac Syrup also relieves allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. This medicine usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by the doctor. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Kuffdac Syrup is a combination of six medicines:Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Guaifenesin, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate and Menthol. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Guaifenesin, Ammonium Chloride and Sodium Citrate help in the removal of mucus (phlegm) from the airways. Menthol produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Kuffdac Syrup 100 Syrup as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Not Safe: Kuffdac Syrup is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Information regarding the use of Kuffdac Syrup during breastfeeding is not available. Doctor consultation is advised.

Driving

Not Safe: Kuffdac Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Not Safe: Kuffdac Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease and should be avoided. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Not Safe: Kuffdac Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Kuffdac Syrup 100 Syrup is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Kuffdac Syrup is prescribed to get relief from cough. Drink warm water to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. In general, most coughs do not last more than 2-3 weeks. If your cough does last longer than this then it's better to see your doctor. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or asthma. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications, e.g., anti-depressants.
