Using this medicine can cause some common side effects such as injection site reactions (pain, redness, swelling) fever, decreased potassium level in blood, headache, and decreased blood pressure. Hyponat 20mg Injection is usually only given in a hospital to treat low sodium levels in the blood. It also improves urine flow without causing the body to lose too much sodium as you urinate. It is given by an injection or drip into a vein (intravenously). To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. To avoid dehydration, it is best to drink something as soon as you feel thirsty. You may need to wait at least 1 week after your last dose of Hyponat 20mg Injection before you can begin taking certain any other medicines. Your doctor may check your liver function before starting treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain. Inform your doctor if you notice problems with your speech or muscle control, trouble swallowing, trouble moving your arms and legs, or mood changes.
