It also lowers pain and inflammation (swelling). Sodium Hyaluronate is the salt form of hyaluronic acid. It reduces the friction in the joints and helps them to work smoothly. Chondroitin is an organic component. It strengthens the cartilages (soft connective tissue around the joints) and cushions them. This helps to enhance the shock-absorbing properties of the joints.
