How to use Criticold Max Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Criticold Max Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Criticold Max Tablet works Criticold Max Tablet is a combination of five medicines: Bromhexine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Guaifenesin, Phenylephrine and Paracetamol. Bromhexine and Guaifenesin help in the removal of mucus (phlegm) from the airways. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers to reduce fever associated with cold.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Criticold Max Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Criticold Max Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Criticold Max Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Criticold Max Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Criticold Max Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Criticold Max Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Criticold Max Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Criticold Max Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Criticold Max Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, the use of Criticold Max Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
If a dose of Criticold Max Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
