How it works
How Alsita M Tablet IR works Alsita-M 50 Forte IR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: sitagliptin and metformin. Sitagliptin help your pancreas produce more insulin, facilitate effective use of insulin by the body, and reduce excess sugar that your liver makes. Metformin is a biguanide which lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestines and increases the body's sensitivity to insulin. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Alsita-M 50 Forte IR Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Alsita-M 50 Forte IR Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Alsita-M 50 Forte IR Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Alsita-M 50 Forte IR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alsita-M 50 Forte IR Tablet may be needed. What if I forget to take it?
