Tranylcypromine increases the levels of monoamines by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme monoamine oxidase, which breaks down these neurotransmitters. This is how it works to treat depression.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Tranylcypromine include dizziness, headache, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), constipation, dry mouth, sedation, feelings of excitement, blurred vision, and tremors.
