Trabectedin is used in the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma.
How Trabectedin works Trabectedin belongs to a class of drugs known as alkylating agents. It works by binding to the DNA in cells and causing damage. This process inhibits the growth and multiplication of cancer cells.
Common side effects of Trabectedin include headache, fatigue, vomiting, weakness, nausea, increased liver enzymes, low blood platelets, increased creatine phosphokinase (CPK) levels in the blood, decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), decreased appetite, and constipation.
