Uses

Thiotepa is used in the treatment of brain tumors, breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and ovarian cancer. It is administered in combination with other cancer medications during hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation (HPCT).

How Thiotepa works Thiotepa is an anti-cancer medication that functions by damaging the genetic material (DNA and RNA) of cancer cells. This action inhibits their growth and multiplication.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Thiotepa include mucosal inflammation, anemia (low red blood cell count), low blood platelet levels, and decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils).
