Teriflunomide is used for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS).
How it Works
How Teriflunomide works Teriflunomide is an immunomodulatory medication that limits the function of specific immune cells, namely T and B cells, which contribute to nerve damage in multiple sclerosis.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Teriflunomide include diarrhea, hair loss, nausea, headache, increased alanine aminotransferase, joint pain, decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), high blood pressure, and paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation).
