Terazosin is used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), heart failure, and Raynaud's disease.

How Terazosin works Terazosin is an alpha-blocker that lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. It also relaxes the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate, making it easier to urinate.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Terazosin include drowsiness, headache, nausea, palpitations, blurred vision, muscle pain, nasal congestion, paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation), postural hypotension (low blood pressure), sleepiness, vertigo, tachycardia, joint pain, and joint inflammation.
