How Tamsulosin and Tolterodine work Tamsulosin and Tolterodine is a combination of two medicines, Tamsulosin and Tolterodine, that relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker, while Tolterodine is an antimuscarinic. They work by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland, allowing urine to pass more easily. This helps prevent frequent, urgent, or uncontrolled urination.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Tamsulosin and Tolterodine include dryness in the mouth, blurred vision, constipation, ejaculation disorder, nausea, dry eyes, urinary retention, headache, orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure upon standing), dizziness, and abdominal pain.
