How Silymarin works Silymarin is derived from the seeds of milk thistle (Silybum marianum). It possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that protect liver cells from the damaging effects of toxic chemicals, known as free radicals, as well as certain medications.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Silymarin include back pain, bloating, diarrhea, dizziness, hair loss, indigestion, itching, loss of appetite, nausea, rash, stomach pain, and upset stomach.
