Common side effects of Sevoflurane include vomiting, nausea, agitation, high blood pressure, slow heart rate, hypotension (low blood pressure), cough, salivary hypersecretion, sleepiness, dizziness, tachycardia, respiratory disorders, vocal cord spasms, chills, and fever.

Expert Advice

Sevoflurane is administered via a vaporizer under the supervision of a physician.
Your doctor will regularly monitor the following during treatment:
- Blood pressure
- Pulse rate
- Heartbeat
Sevoflurane induces sleepiness.
Avoid driving or engaging in activities that require mental focus until you understand how Sevoflurane affects you.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
