These medications function by stimulating the production of red blood cells (RBCs) in the bone marrow. Once produced, these RBCs are released into the bloodstream, which aids in treating anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease or those undergoing chemotherapy.

Common side effects of Recombinant Human Erythropoietin Beta include headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and hypersensitivity.

  • It is administered as a single injection under your skin; however, if you are on hemodialysis, it will be given into your vein.
