How Rebamipide works Rebamipide is a mucosal protective agent that increases the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are chemical messengers that enhance the healing of ulcers.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Rebamipide include burping, abdominal pain, nausea, changes in taste, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, heartburn, decreased white blood cell count (lymphocytes), and menstrual disorders.

  • Rebamipide aids in the treatment of stomach, intestinal, and mouth ulcers.
  • It can be taken concurrently with NSAIDs (anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs) to reduce the risk of developing stomach ulcers.
  • Inform your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as rash, itching, or hives.
  • Your doctor may perform routine blood tests to assess liver function.
  • Notify your doctor if you experience symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, or yellowing of the eyes or skin.
