Ramucirumab is used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, stomach cancer, and cancer of the colon and rectum.

How it Works

How Ramucirumab works Ramucirumab is an anticancer medication that functions by blocking the VEGF receptor 2, thereby cutting off the blood supply to cancer cells. This action slows the growth of cancer cells and ultimately leads to their death.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Ramucirumab include high blood pressure, diarrhea, headache, protein in urine, decreased potassium levels in the blood, infection, hemorrhage, stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth), and hair loss.
