How it Works

How Racecadotril and Saccharomyces boulardii work Racecadotril and Saccharomyces boulardii is a combination of two medications that alleviate symptoms of diarrhea in children. Racecadotril has an anti-secretory effect, reducing the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. This action helps to minimize fluid loss from the body during diarrhea. Saccharomyces boulardii is a live microorganism that restores the balance of beneficial bacteria in the intestine, which may be disrupted due to intestinal infections.

Common side effects of Racecadotril and Saccharomyces boulardii include headache, vomiting, dizziness, and general discomfort.
