Permethrin is used in the treatment of scabies and head lice.

How it Works

How Permethrin works Permethrin is an antiparasitic medication that functions by eliminating tiny insects (mites) and their eggs, which are responsible for scabies. Additionally, it targets head lice that attach to the scalp and cause irritation.

Permethrin is prescribed for the treatment of scabies (a condition where tiny insects infest and irritate the skin).
It may also be used for the treatment of head lice.
It should be used according to the dose and duration suggested by your doctor.
If the condition persists after 14 days of treatment, the doctor may recommend an alternative treatment.
Apply a thin layer of this medicine all over the body and leave it on for 8-14 hours before taking a bath or shower.
Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth. If contact occurs, rinse with water immediately.
