This medication works by inhibiting cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6, thereby arresting the cancer cell cycle. Additionally, it targets estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer cells by disrupting the cell cycle.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Palbociclib include fatigue, hair loss, rash, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, decreased appetite, infection, stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth), anemia (low red blood cell count), weakness, fever, and decreased white blood cell count.
