It inhibits neuraminidase, an enzyme of the influenza virus that facilitates the entry of the virus into uninfected cells, thereby causing or spreading influenza infection in the body. This mechanism is how it works against the virus to treat influenza.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Oseltamivir Phosphate include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, chills, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), upper respiratory tract infection, sinus inflammation, otitis media (ear infection), bronchitis (inflammation of the airways), herpes virus infection, and fatigue.
