Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging their DNA. Terbinafine is an antifungal that inhibits the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their protective covering. Together, these medications effectively treat skin infections. Mometasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause the skin to become red, swollen, and itchy.
