How Tobramycin + Moxifloxacin works Tobramycin + Moxifloxacin is a combination of two antibiotics, Tobramycin and Moxifloxacin, that treat eye infections. Tobramycin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins required for vital bacterial functions. Moxifloxacin kills bacteria by preventing their reproduction and repair. Together, they effectively treat your infection.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Tobramycin and Moxifloxacin include eye irritation, fever, conjunctivitis, hypersensitivity, eyelid itching, eyelid swelling, and conjunctival redness.

Expert Advice

  • Your doctor has prescribed Tobramycin + Moxifloxacin to treat bacterial infections of the eye.
  • Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
  • Apply pressure to the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
  • If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting your lenses.
  • Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
  • A burning sensation may occur for 1-2 minutes. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
