Lamotrigine must be taken exactly as prescribed. The dose is usually started very low and increased every two weeks, a process called titration.

• Never skip doses or stop taking it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures or a mood relapse.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose. If you miss more than three days of doses, call your doctor immediately.
