Uses
Lactic acid is used in the treatment of keratoses and psoriasis.
How it Works
Lactic acid removes the top layer of dead skin cells and helps improve skin texture, reduce dark spots, smooth fine lines, and cleanse pores.
Side Effects
Common side effects of lactic acid include tingling at the application site, a burning sensation, erythema (skin redness), and irritation.

- Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.
- Take precautions to avoid swallowing lactic acid.
- Avoid application to sensitive, inflamed, or irritated skin, as mild stinging, burning, or peeling may occur.
